Poster & Trailer for the Cult-Classic Japanese Live-Action Anime Adaptation KITE

Earlier this year Samuel L. Jackson introduced the first trailer for the live-action anime adaptation Kite.  Based on the cult classic Japanese franchise of the same name created by Yasuomi Umetsu, this action drama follows Jackson as a crooked, Svengali-like detective who employs homeless children to do his dirty work.  He takes in a young woman named Sawa after the murder of her parents, training her to kill and exact street justice against those the detective has chosen as his targets.  Now Anchor Bay Entertainment has released a new trailer for the film.  The story of Kite follows a young woman who trains to become an assassin after her parents are murdered.  Samuel L. Jackson stars as the ex-partner to Sawa’s murdered father, who teaches Sawa to become a more proficient killer.  Check the latest footage below before Kite makes its way to theaters this October after debuting exclusively on DirecTV this August.



Kite comes to theaters October 10, 2014 and stars India Eisley, Callan McAuliffe, Cleo Rinkwest,Samuel L. Jackson, Russel Savadier, Keci Eatock, Matthew Van Leeve, Jaco Muller.  The film is directed by Ralph Ziman.
