Comic-Con BATMAN v. SUPERMAN Trailer!
SDCC does it again! This time around we get a look at the latest trailer for next year’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice! Clocking in at over 3 1/2 minutes, fans get a look at Ben Affleck as Batman in action, the heroics of Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel, and even amazing glimpses of Gal Godot’s Wonder Woman marking the big screen debut for the Amazonian Princess. Try as we might through all the hubbub, something still seems off about this sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel and the precursor to Warner Bros.’ 2017 Justice League movie. Whether it’s the seeming miscast of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor (instead of bald he starts out with long flowing locks – truly visionary), or the misstep of using a story point from the classic The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel by Frank Miller. When Miller’s Batman faced off against Superman it was after decades of knowing each other, either side by side in battle or at opposing ends of a moral or ethical argument. Here the face-off just makes Bruce Wayne/Batman look impulsive and given to following the mindset of the masses. Batman is usually a few steps ahead of everyone, hence his unusual record of winning with no super powers. But we digress, all is not lost as Gal Godot’s brief appearances look promising, so check it all out for yourselves in the trailer below as we eagerly await the film’s March 25, 2016 release.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and also stars Holly Hunter, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Jason Momoa.
